Description - A true noble aroma variety. US Tettnang is similar to Fuggle. Used mainly for its aromatic properties. A very popular hop with the craft-brewery industry.
Wt. ½ oz per plug, 1 oz, 2 oz and 1lb packages
Use - Lager, U.S. Ales, Pilsner, U.S. Wheat, Bitter.
Possible Substitutions - German Spalt Select, German Spalt, Santiam
Alpha Acid - 4.0-5.0%
Origin/History - Tettnang is an aroma-type cultivar which originated in the Tettnang hop growing area of Germany as a land-race hop. It is grown in the U.S.A. in Oregon and Washington State.
Grown and plugged right here in the United States, these hop plugs are the freshest available. Our hops are kept frozen at 32 degrees F before being plugged and once they are plugged, they are vacuum sealed in oxygen / light barrier bags and refrozen. Our bags are labeled with the crop year, plugging date, and harvest alpha.
