Description - A high Alpha Acids hop with an acceptable aroma profile. Medium intensity, spicy, piney, distinctive grapefruit. Long, medium-compact cone, with turned out petals
Wt. - ½ oz per plug, 1 oz, 2 oz and 1lb packages
Use - U.S. Style Pale Ale, IPA, Stout, Porter, Barley Wine, Lager (bittering)
Possible Substitutions - Nugget, Columbus, Northern Brewer, Wye Target, possibly Centennial

Origin/History - Chinook is a bittering variety with aroma characteristics released in May, 1985. It was bred by crossing a Petham Golding with the USDA 63012 male.
Grown and plugged right here in the United States, these hop plugs are the freshest available. Our hops are kept frozen at 32 degrees F before being plugged and once they are plugged, they are vacuum sealed in oxygen / light barrier bags and refrozen. Our bags are labeled with the crop year, plugging date, and harvest alpha.
