HALLERTAU OUT FOR THE SEASON

Description - Traditional German aroma hop. Very mild, slightly flowery, somewhat spicy. Fairly loose, small and light cones.

Wt. - ½ oz per plug, 1 oz, 2 oz and 1lb packages

Use - Lager, Pilsner, Bock, Wheat, Kolsch, Munich Helles, Belgian-Style Ales. Used mainly for its aromatic properties, this is a traditional lager hop with excellent aroma, a spicy flavor, and a softer impact on the discerning palate

Possible Substitutions - Liberty, German Hallertau, German Tradition

Alpha acid - 3.5 - 5.5%

Origin/History - Hallertau mf is an aroma-type cultivar which originated in Germany as a land - race hop. The original Hallertau mf in Germany has been replaced with other Hallertau types with similar quality characteristics. The name indicates that it is a middle to early ripening cultivar.

Grown and plugged right here in the United States, these hop plugs are the freshest available. Our hops are kept frozen at 32 degrees F before being plugged and once they are plugged, they are vacuum sealed in oxygen / light barrier bags and refrozen. Our bags are labeled with the crop year, plugging date, and harvest alpha.
