As any good idea should, the idea for American Hop Plugs came from drinking beer...and not just any beer -- home brew.
When we began brewing our own beer, we quickly discovered how simple, economical, and superior plugs were in brewing a good, flavorful beer.
We also soon learned that good hop plugs could be hard to come by! Until now, all hops that were to be plugged were sent to Europe and then eventually shipped back to the United States. This means that the consumer pays high prices for older hops.
Yes, our prices are a little higher, but you will get not only higher-quality hops, but fresher hops, too!
All of the hops that we plug were grown here in the good 'ol United States and shipped only as far as us to be plugged and shipped out to you. Each and every one of our packages is stamped with both a harvest date and a plug date to ensure the ultimate in freshness. This is because we all know, fresher hops make better beer!
